LASER BIRD DETERRENT SYSTEM

The LazerTrac® LZT1000 deterrent is designed to reduce bird damage. This system uses a projected beam of light to scan the area it is designed to protect. The green light spot is generated by laser-based optics on a 360° motorised platform.
LZT1000 offers unique features for programming periods and zones, with an optical range of over 400 metres (covering 50 hectares) and remote control/monitoring via its integrated 4K camera. It autonomously protects large areas such as solar panels, rooftops, commercial buildings, storage areas, providing long-term effectiveness. However, its use is limited to private and inaccessible areas due to laser regulations.
New AI-based versions under development will incorporate pest detection and all the necessary security measures for wider use. The results are promising, both in terms of animal detection capabilities and laser safety management.

The LazerTrac® LZT40 autonomous system is programmed using a control box, which also allows audible signals to be emitted.
Habituation can occur with some repelling devices after a few weeks of use. This means that the birds get used to them and are no longer bothered by these repellent techniques. This is not the case with this laser, as the beam path is too complex for the birds to follow (laser path with up to 80 points).
The birds end up leaving the area as a precaution, unable to predict its path in advance and therefore unable to get used to it.

A scalable and flexible system
This bird control solution can be adapted to many types of areas such as solar rooftops where bird droppings can reduce electricity production, electric plants where flying birds can cause electronic disturbance, wind farms to avoid collision with birds and in airports to avoid aircraft strikes during take-off and landing.
BirdProTech can also adapt this acoustic system to a remote controller, so it can be used in an airport environment by professionals in wildlife hazard prevention services. The acoustic repeller can then emit scaring signals, via a remote trigger control, to secure the area around the take-off/landing runways against the presence of wild animals and thus limit the risk of collision.
